Mediterranean Gull

While in Dun Laoghaire the were up to 24 Mediterranean Gulls scattered throughout the Harbour.  This number was down on past visits and observations at this site. One adult winter bird was wearing a colour ring (2XE7), as can be seen from the attached photos.

  1. Hi John

Many thanks for the sighting of 2XE7. It is a Wexford Bird ringed as a pullus at Lady's Island by Alyn Walsh at Ladys Island in 2015. I attach its full life history below.

All sightings of Med Gulls bearing Yellow Rings can be sent to me at Medgullring@gmail.com

    Kind Regards

    Sean

  2. Thanks Sean Much appreciate the feedback and I was only talking to Alyn today and did not realise that this was one of his birds from Lady's Island. Hope you are keeping well. Regards Murf.
