Tufted Duck

Went in search of the Waxwings again today in Ennis, but no sign.  Ended up out at Ballyallia Lake on the outskirts of Town.  There were three White-fronted Geese with the domestic flock. Other highlights were one Water Rail and over 200 Tufted Ducks, see photos below.  Managed to see the first-winter drake Ring-necked Duck again at Lough Gash.  Then went on to the Shannon Airport Lagoon where highlights were one Little Egret and a Water Rail.
