Loop Head

Yet another great day was spent at Loop Head on Saturday 3rd September.  A very decent sea watch at the Bridges of Ross culminated in the appearance of another Fea's Petrel which was the highlight of the day.  The headland was alive with Wheatears, pipits and one Spotted Flycatcher was in Gibson's garden.   There were also loads of caterpillars in the grasses, most notable were The Drinker moth and Fox moth caterpillars.
